1988–1990 Studies Modern German Literature, Modern History and Art History at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, Tübingen, Germany. Study trips to Egypt, Israel, Greece, Italy, Yugoslavia and Turkey
1990–1997 Studies Fine Arts / Painting at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, Germany
1995 Master student of Prof. Dieter Krieg, painting
1997 Travel grant from the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, stays in New York and San Francisco, United States
since 1998 founding member of the artist group hobbypopMUSEUM, organization of the exhibition space of the same name in Düsseldorf until 2005
