Bertram Hasenauer was born in Saalfelden, AT. He studied at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Wien and at the Universität der Künste in Berlin from 1992 to 1997 and at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London from 1997 to 1998. Bertram Hasenauer lives and works in Berlin. In 2010 Bertram Hasenauer was shown at the Museum der Moderne Salzburg Rupertinum with the solo exhibition Súlur. Earlier group exhibitions include: Modebilder – Kunstkleider. Fotografie, Malerei und Mode 1900 bis heute, Berlinische Galerie, 2022; Gezeichnete Stadt, Berlinische Galerie, DE, 2020; Die Spitze des Eisbergs, Museum der Moderne Salzburg, AT, 2019; Neue Schwarze Romantik, Rumänisches Nationalmuseum der Künste, Bukarest, RO, Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin, DE u.a., 2017/2018. At the ART AWARD of Strabag 2006 Bertram Hasenauer was awarded with a recognition prize and in 2008 with the Georg Eisler Award for Painting. 2011 Bertram Hasenauer received the Großer Kunstpreis of the city of Salzburg.
